This is my first cycle challenge and I am very excited to ride for EFA in Morocco. My plan is to tackle the 60K route, which will be a challenge for my first ride. However, with such an important goal to reach, raising funds to help build bathrooms and communal facilities in one of EFA's Boarding Houses in Asni, I am up for the challenge.
Education For All (EFA) believes that if you educate a girl, you educate the next generation. Many girls who live in the Atlas Mountains in Morocco are not able to continue their education because they live too far away from the few secondary schools in the area and their families are often too poor to afford the government lodgings. Without an education, these girls are unable to break out of poverty and claim the basic right of an education.
Education For All is bringing a solution to this by building and running safe 'homes away from home' so that girls can access the schools and have a nurturing environment to learn and study in. With comfortable beds, hot showers, 3 meals a day and lots of love and support, the girls here are thriving. EFA now has 5 houses.
Lets help EFA rase money to create more toilets and showers and a communal study are for their new house.
