On Saturday 3rd September 2022, I will be walking for 13 hours. Starting at 07.30 and finishing at 20.30.

I am walking for 13 hours as this is the length of time that a nurse is on duty, caring for others. 

I will be starting outside Jersey General Hospital and walking towards St Aubins, along the railway walk to Corbiere, down to Le Braye and along the 5 mile road to Jersey Pearl. I will then walk up towards Gronez and on to Devils Hole. This is where I am aiming to get to within the 13 hours, but if I manage further, then I will continue until 20.30.

I have chosen to raise money for Friends of Jersey Oncology (FOJO), I have recently had a placement there as a student nurse and although everyone in the hospital does an amazing job looking after their patients, I really found it overwhelming at how supportive all of the staff on the Haematology-Oncology unit are towards their patients and their family members.
