Story
In 2023, I've decided that my challenge would be to run a half marathon. Everyone knows how I am not a runner, but this year I've decided to take on a challenge I never realistically thought I would aspire to.
In 2021, I lost a friend. His name was Laurence, and we spent many hours putting the world to rights instead of revising for our uni exams. In our conversations, we spoke about what we would do if we were in a position to change the world, we loved the idea of sharing knowledge and giving power to developing nations on how they can educate their people to progress and succeed.
One word I would use to describe Laurence before anything else was hopeful, which is why I have chosen to run for the charity Hope for Children, who is on a mission to raise the quality of life for children in developing countries. Human Rights remained a strong passion of Laurence's, and the right to knowledge and education was one we both strongly believed in. I miss our conversations dearly, but the hope isn't going anywhere anytime soon - this one is for him.
