As many of you already know, my son Omar was diagnosed with a life-limiting condition back in 2016 at the young age of 5. His progression with the disease was relatively slow, however, a year ago he was referred by Great Ormond Street Hospital to Shooting Star Children's Hospice as his condition worsened. 

We were put in contact with an amazing nurse, who firstly arranged a home visit, then a visit for us to their amazing site in Hampton. Typically, most people assume that a hospice is only used when a child is in their final stages of life, however, their amazing work starts before a child passes away. They offer support for siblings, parents and grandparents, respite care when needed, symptom care and management, specialist nursing care and bereavement support. 

Due to Covid-19,  Shooting Star Children's Hospices have unfortunately, lost out on vital funds raised from fundraisers, as they only receive 10% of the £10 million needed to maintain their current level of care from the government! Their site in Hampton has been temporarily shut and their site in Guildford is only offerering support to those families requiring End Of Life care and emergency/urgent respite care ❤. 

To give back to this amazing charity, I am going do a skydive from 10,000ft on the 29/05/2021 and would appreciate every pound donated to this wonderful cause!
