Story
On 14th January, my world fell apart when I lost my Mum to pancreatic cancer. My Mum was diagnosed in October 2017 and within a few months she was gone. From the moment she was diagnosed, my Mum didn’t stop living her life, didn’t stop laughing and joking and didn’t stop doing things for her loved ones like baking amazing cakes or just being there for anyone and everyone. For years, my Mum suffered with pancreatitis but this didn’t stop her from living her life to the fullest. She loved being a nurse and devoted her life to taking care of her patients. She loved being a Mum to me and my brothers but also to everyone else.
Myton Hospice were amazing towards the end of my Mum’s life, giving my Mum the best care and insured that she had the best quality of life. The staff at Myton supported me and my two younger brothers, giving advice and also offering us a room for us to stay in so we could be there for our Mum. At the moment, Myton offers all of their services free and relies on donations. This year, they need to raise £9.6 million to continue offering there services for free. This year, I am doing the Autumn Wolf Run to help raise money for Myton. This is going to be a challenge as I hate the cold, I hate mud and I hate getting dirty. If me doing this could raise enough money for Myton to care for a few more patients and support a few more families, then it’s worth it. So if you are reading this and want to support, please give whatever you can.
