Story
By popular demand I’m back with yet another challenge. Instead of half marathons, I’ll be running my first full marathon this time!! And not just any marathon, but the marathon of marathons: The London Marathon!!!
I’m so excited and petrified at the same time. #ohmydays #NailarunsLondonmarathon
After 2019, the London Marathon will fall during Ramadan. It would be impossible to run 26 miles whilst fasting, so 2019 is my one chance to run the marathon whilst I’m still young! It’s now or never and I’m choosing now 🏃🏽♀💪🏽
My #TenRacesInTenMonths challenge was in memory of my mother and I raised enough to build 4 water wells and 3 tube wells in developing countries. This year, I’ll be running to commemorate my mother-in-law with Penny Appeal
#Running4Mum #Mysecondmum
When my husband was 9, he moved to the U.K. with his uncle in search of a better life. However, this meant leaving his mother in Pakistan. As any mother can imagine, the decision to let your son go at such a young age was a tough one. He finally returned to meet her when he turned 17 and decided to visit regularly ever since. Sadly his mother passed away a few years ago, but her memories will stay with us for as long as we live.
With your help, I would like to pay tribute to her by building a water well in her memory. I hope that children and mothers in Africa can use the well to help make a better life for themselves, together. May her selflessness inspire us all to give something to those in need of our help, Insha’Allah.
The challenges/races I will be doing all the way through my marathon journey Insha’Allah:
1. 💯 miles in December challenge ✅
2. RED January Challenge (RED stands for Run Every Day in January. Whether you decide to run or walk your way through January, there are no rules. The aim is to get active every day) So beat the blues and do something amazing every day.✅
3. 5 miles Gaza Winter Walk (with my husband) in February ✅
4. Race in Palestine 🇵🇸 ماراثون فلسطين (with my husband) in March 💚 ✅
5. London Marathon 26.2 miles in April ✅
Crossing the finish lines after 26.2 miles will be one of my greatest achievements, but by raising money I hope to fund the construction of an entire water well that will serve a community day in, day out, providing them with fresh, clean water. We all know that water is an essential need but as well as being integral to stay hydrated, it is also indispensable to feed livestock and other animals so a regular source of income can be maintained, paving the way for the freedom of self-sufficiency we take for granted. Penny Appeals Dig Deep campaign aims to provide safe, clean drinking water for children, families and the elderly living in Africa.
Please DIG DEEP with me and help me build water wells in Africa. Together we can provide the gift of clean water, and make a massive difference.
I will be paying all personal expenses for myself, e.g Race entries, flights, accommodation etc And not from the donations made by others!!!
