Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Natasha and I are training hard to climb to the summit of Ben Nevis, the tallest mountain in the British Isles, to raise funds for the PSP Association. In summer 2013, our caring, life-loving and inspirational Dad was diagnosed with PSP. He passed away unexpectedly on 29 September 2016. This challenge and our fundraising is therefore dedicated to him, his wonderful joie de vivre and his passion for helping others.

PSP robs individuals of their ability to walk, talk, see, eat, affects cognition, judgement and balance and results in falls. There is no government funding and no known cure. The cause is as yet, unknown. PSP takes away the day to day joys we all take for granted - being able to walk without falling, eat food without choking and one's overall independence.

We have experienced first hand how terrible this condition is. It changed our Dad from the beautifully lively individual we knew to someone withdrawn from life and far removed from the Dad we grew up with. Watching his deterioration as his condition progressed was heartbreaking.

We want to raise as much money as we can to help this charity raise awareness of PSP and help conduct research to consider both causes and potential cures. The PSP Association is a small charity, but it does a lot of good and we want to make people aware of the intense challenges that a little-known condition such as PSP can bring to the lives of those affected.

Please consider a donation, however small or large. We will be very appreciative.

Thank you.

Nadia & Natasha
