Story
The Newman Holiday Trust, chosen as the NACFB’s charity partner for 2022, has continued its collaboration with the trade body into 2023. The Association believes in using its platform to support organisations that bring positive change to the lives of others, and the Newman Holiday Trust exemplifies this commitment.
The Newman Holiday Trust is an entirely a voluntary organisation which provides summer holidays for children with special needs.
The tie-up sees the trade body partner with its smallest charity partner in recent history, as the Association seeks to make a bigger proportional impact and help sustain a longer-term financial footing for the charity.
Representatives from the Trust will be present at all the NACFB’s flagship events, where they will share more information on the work their teams undertake and the difference they make to the lives of children with special needs from across the UK.
Laura's Marathon Run
Contributing to the fundraising efforts, NACFB graphic designer Laura Mills ran the London Marathon on behalf of the Newman Holiday Trust. Despite an injury sustained during training, Laura completed the run in 4 hours and 51 minutes and 38 seconds. Go Laura!
Commenting, Laura said: "To run the London Marathon is an absolute dream come true, a real bucket-list moment. But to be running the London Marathon for the Newman Holiday Trust, a charity that is so vitally important and makes such a huge difference to young children’s lives is even better. NHT is an entirely volunteer-run charity which means every penny raised will go directly to a child’s holiday, so please do give generously. Thank you."
