Story
The Board of the National Association of Commercial Finance Brokers (NACFB) selected Young Lives vs Cancer (formerly known as CLIC Sargent), the leading children’s cancer charity, as the Association’s charity partner for 2019.
Charitable partnerships usually last for one year but because of the pandemic, the NACFB's relationship with Young Lives vs Cancer has been extended until the end of 2021. The partnership will see fundraising activities take place to support the UK charity’s work at the Gala Dinner, the Commercial Broker Awards and Commercial Finance Expo as well as at regional events and at our Eastcheap headquarters.
The NACFB team has set themselves the ambitious target of raising £50,000. With your help we hope that figure is achievable.
About Young Lives vs Cancer
The UK’s leading cancer charity for children, young people and their families. Its care teams provide specialist support across the country.
The charity supports young people from diagnosis onwards and aims to help the whole family deal with the impact of cancer and its treatment, life after treatment and, in some cases, bereavement.
The charity also undertakes research into the impact of cancer on children and young people. It uses this evidence to raise awareness and to seek to influence government and policymakers, and those who provide public services across the UK.
Every penny helps to support this amazing cause so please join the fight for children and young people with cancer and donate.
How your donations could help…
- £25 covers an hour of a social workers time, so they can
provide emotional support for young people and families immediately after diagnosis. - £170 is given as a CLIC Sargent grant to help families meet
the sudden extra costs that a cancer diagnosis can bring. - £990 would cover the cost of a family to stay in a CLIC
Sargent Homes from Home for a month, so they can stay near their child for free when they are going through treatment.
