Story

Hi, I'm Nick, the keyboard player in The SKAlectrics.

How history repeats itself!

My father was a proud Ukrainian but during WWII he was separated, like many others, from his country and his family.  He never saw his parents again and only saw his surviving siblings over 50 years later. Sadly, my dad passed away three years ago, aged 97, and according to his wishes, my brother and I took his ashes back to his beloved Ukraine to be buried.

Today Ukrainians (my cousins included) are being separated from their homeland and their loved ones because of the senseless war inflicted on them by Russia.  I am shocked and saddened at the unprovoked attack by Russia, at the wanton destruction of cities and civilian districts and the suffering of Ukrainian citizens.  So I, with the support of my bandmates (Neil, Rob, Tom, Rhys, John, Dionne), wanted to not only raise money for the Ukrainian people but to protest in some way against this WAR.  We hope you like our versions of The Specials' songs 'Man at C&A' and 'Lunatics', please click the below link to view on Youtube.

Funds will go directly to 'British-Ukrainian Aid', which supports people who are the victims of the war, particularly by supplying medical aid to such persons and organisations caring for them.

We are The SKAlectrics, and we support Ukraine.

Glory to Ukraine!
