Story
It's been a couple of months since I've lost my dear cousin, who was a mother of three, a wife, a sister and a daughter. Safena Kauser Sabir, may she rest in peace, had ovarian cancer. She fought hard and strong for many months. Her most difficult and last days were spent in Marie Curie Hospice in Bradford where she took her last breath. Her family and her friends are now left with her amazing memories that makes us smile. But those memories bring a wave of sadness too because the realisation kicks in that we will not be able to create any new memories. And thats the hardest part but one thing we know is that she will forever stay in our hearts.
Hannah (21), Haroon (20) and Zainab (11) Have been so strong and stood by their mum without a complaint. The person they thought they would never lose, their anchor, their role model, their friend, their light, their everything. Losing a mother at such a young age is the most difficult pain to endure. With these children I have come together to set up a fund-raising campaign for Marie Curie Hospice.
Marie Curie Hospice, is a registered charitable organisation in the United Kingdom which provides care and support to people with terminal illnesses and their families. The volunteers that work there are so caring and uplifting. I want to give something back to the hospice for the care and support that they provided for Safena and our family.
