Story
Hey Guys and Gals! Thanks for taking a look at my page. As many of you know I have a number of passions in life and I've decided to combine two of those for the benefit of someone else for once! I love tennis, both playing and officiating, and following my recent big milestone (the big 3-0) and the resulting mid-midlife crisis I have rekindled an interest in 'running' as well.
I'm running the BUPA London 10k in May and am raising money for the Dan Maskell Tennis Trust. The trust was founded 32 years ago and since then has been working hard to raise money to help give people the opportunity to get the same pleasures from tennis that I do, and that I'm sure many of you get from your own hobbies and interests. Through their work people are given opportunities to participate in wheelchair tennis, deaf tennis, and tennis for people with learning disabilities through the provision of court hire, equipment and coaching. They support tennis at all levels ranging social tennis for leisure to GB representation in European and World events. With funding from the Trust, Peter Norfolk won Gold in the Quad Singles Wheelchair Event at the Athens Paralympics in 2004.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It's also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Tennis Foundation gets your money faster and, if you're a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation. So please sponsor me now to help the Dan Maskell Tennis Trust and keep me motivated to continue my training. My ultimate goal is the London Marathon so please help me get there! Thanks for all your support.
