Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page!
This April I'll be taking on my first marathon and raising funds for Stroke Association. People are suffering and surviving strokes now more than ever and depending on how fast they're able to receive treatment, survival can mean anything from a full recovery to life-changing disabilities.
Having had a few loved ones affected by stroke and seeing how this has also changed the lives of my family in providing around-the-clock support, I'm happy to be able to contribute to this great charity and hopefully raise some awareness... So firstly I would really encourage everybody to familiarise yourselves with the signs of stroke and be ready to act fast - it could make all the difference.

Stroke Association provides services to support stroke survivors and also funds research to find ways of preventing stroke. My fundraising target of £1685 is the cost of training a fitness coach to provide stroke survivors with specific rehabilitation and the confidence to begin and continue exercising. Any donation you can spare will be greatly appreciated and could make a huge difference to stroke survivors.
Training is well under way and running in the cold is no fun! Feel free to drop by my Strava running page to see how I'm getting on and I'll try post some updates on here too. https://www.strava.com/athletes/8213916.
Cheers!
