Story
Throughout my career I've seen some of the most vulnerable people, including many many homeless, sleeping rough and at their lowest ebb. Somehow it's even worse when it's a youth, someone whose journey has barely begun but now finds themselves utterly lost.
I've been fortunate on occasion to have an opportunity to help in some small way, whether a stop and a chat, or something pleasant and warming to eat shared. Occasionally I'm aware that someone's had a win and managed to secure a route off the streets. Now I have an opportunity to help an organisation that can make a consistent and effective effort to help people off the streets, provide proven routes to support and show them well trodden paths to a safer life. Gives them a chance to get back on their feet and find a way forwards! And to do that, I have to haul my heavy body up to 1085m above sea level! It's been 16 years and a few stones since I last made the trip (and that time it was my third mountain in 24 hours). I'll be posting updates as I train to make the ascent - so if you wouldn't mind chucking a few quid at my endeavours, I would be grateful.
