Story

In September 2023, 16 days after a bowel cancer diagnosis, my Mum sadly lost her very short battle with cancer. My entire family were and are completely devastated by the loss of her and how suddenly she was taken with us and the missed opportunities to say goodbye and thank her for how wonderful she made our lives. I’m doing this for you Mum, each walk (you loved a walk), run (yes, I’m agreeing to run) or whatever means I eventually use!

Each year, over 42,000 people in the UK are diagnosed with bowel cancer. That's why I'm supporting Bowel Research UK in January by taking on Challenge 42. Bowel Research UK are the UK’s leading specialist bowel cancer and bowel disease research charity and our research is saving and improving lives.

I'll be covering 42 miles by 31st January to raise money for vital life-changing research into bowel cancer and bowel disease.

Please sponsor me as I take on this challenge and start 2024 with a bang.
