Story
While I appreciate that charity begins at home, Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Scotland's fundraising has been hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. Many fundraising events have been cancelled leading to a drop in essential funds raised.
As many of you know, I lost my uncle to MND in 2016, aged 59. A cause close to my heart, I am hoping to raise some funds during these uncertain times in order that MND Scotland can continue to provide care and support to people affected by MND, as well as funding vital research into finding a cure.
I am hoping to run (jog may be more appropriate) at least 2.6 miles every day for a month from the 26th April to the 26th May, adhering to social distancing rules of course. Given that I only started running consistently four weeks ago, running 80.6 miles over 31 days may kill me. And let's be honest, by the end my running (jogging) may end up as walking. But I hope my pain is MND Scotland's gain. Please contribute what you can. MND Scotland and I will be eternally grateful.
