Story
**UPDATE: Mission complete!**
The theatres are shut down, events are shut down, our charity volunteering is shut down, flour and eggs are more valuable than oil and... apparently my GP has noticed I've put on weight over the last 10 years (I mean, who hasn't?! I've been preoccupied.)
Well there’s no time like the present to do something about this “issue” and raise some funds for London’s Air Ambulance whose lifesaving services are still needed, but who can’t currently raise money via many of their usual channels.
I’ve already lost 9lbs in advance of the challenge in sheer indignation, but I’m not counting that towards this challenge - let’s count that as a warm up.
I’m aiming to lose a further 26 lbs. My weight today (first thing, post loo, clothes off - you all know the unwritten law for weighing yourself) is 13 stone 5 pounds. So for this challenge I’m aiming for a target of 11 stone 7 lbs, although for personal satisfaction I'll go on to 11 stone 2 lbs.
I’m not waiting until April 26th to start because frankly I’m on a roll (a metaphorical roll, not a Swiss Roll) already and this will take some time. No one ever lost 26 lbs in a day without serious detriment to their health, I think we can all agree on that. I mean, realistically we’re looking at July/August here. This could be the longest 2.6 challenge out there.
I’ve started with a very modest fundraising target because a lot of my friends have no income at present, but there’s months to get there and it’s for a good cause (which believe it or not is not just about me fitting into my size 12 jeans).
Peace out and don’t hoard the flour, kids.
