Story
On 26 April, I will be joining people across the UK in The 2.6 Challenge. My chosen charity is the Berkshire MS Therapy Centre.
I will be hosting a 26 hour bucket collection from my front room. I know what you are thinking….what?
The bucket is virtual. In fact it is this page. Firstly given lock down, I couldn’t get a bucket that meets regulation (sealed and then counted by two unrelated adults). Secondly I am staying safely at home.
Bucket collections usually raise £30,000 for the Berkshire MS Therapy Centre every year, about 7% of their annual income. This year like so many fundraising events this will be hit hard at a time when the charity has needed support more - for more details visit their blog here:

If you can, please donate your ‘spare change’ below. Sadly JustGiving don’t accept the inevitable old button that ends up in the usual collection bucket. You will need to mail that separately. The good news is, unlike an actual bucket collection, if you are a taxpayer we can Gift Aid your gift.
My average bucket collection total is £51.38 and this time I can double that.
Like a normal collection, I will smile to everyone who goes pass. Whilst there are only three of us at my house, the cat is very indecisive about whether he wants to be in or out so I expect a lot of smiling!
One key element of a good bucket collection is to stay awake. This is not my strong point. I have a talent for sleep and especially enjoy an afternoon nap.
Smiling and napping are absolutely nothing compared to the challenges that people with MS face every single day.
Want to join me? More the merrier….but you have to do it at your home 😊
Please stay home, stay safe and look after yourself.
