Story
I am walking in honour of my beautiful Grandmother, Martha Rogers. Her kindness and generosity was known to all, especially her family who remember her as a loving and devoted, Mum, Auntie and Grandmother. Dementia is such a cruel disease, and although there is lots of groundbreaking research being done, it breaks my heart that my family, like so many others have suffered with pain of knowing there was nothing that could be done. Walking, for those who don't know, is a very common coping mechanism for people with dementia - and for those who knew Nanny know she could walk for England! So it is very fitting that I am walking in honour of her and other loved ones to help raise money and awareness for this disease. Any donation is greatly appreciated and will be put towards research, equipment and support for all the families that experience this. I am so proud to be taking part in this and I know I will have my guardian angel by my side every step of the way.
