Memory Walk 2019
Campaign by Alzheimer's Society (RCN 296645)
This year thousands of people will walk united, against dementia. We aim, with your help, to raise as much money as possible to help anyone affected by dementia.

Story

Around 225,000 people develop dementia every year; that's the equivalent to one person every three minutes. My Mum struggled with dementia towards the end of her life and watching her struggle was so hard, knowing there was so little that I do to help her.

She was an amazing lady who supported me in everything I did - even the mad adventures! She made fabulous picnics for me when I ran half marathons to Stonehenge, cheering me through the finish line. My days of running that distance are over, but when I saw the opportunity to walk there in her memory, I signed up.

Join me if you can, or just throw a few pennies into the charity pot here, to urge me on. I promise to stride out without complaining about sore feet, to walk the route in 4-5 hours. I promise to make you and Mama proud and to raise as much as I can for the charity that can help more people to keep hold of the people they love.

Thank you.
