Leeds Memory Walk 2018 · 22 September 2018 ·
Our family has been directly affected by Dementia on both my parents sides and we walk in memory of those who were affected, the individuals who struggle through it and those who care for them.
My mum is a Dementia carer on the forefront of it everyday at a specialist care home in North Yorkshire, she amazes me I don't know how she does it, there are some tough yet rewarding jobs and this to me is one of them, I know she would love to see more support for research, more funding for care and a world without Dementia.
Anything you can donate is a step towards achieving these goals, here is a little more information from the Alzheimer's Society;
Around 225,000 people develop dementia every year – that's the equivalent to one person every three minutes. This September and October Memory Walks will be taking place across England, Wales and Northern Ireland to raise money for a world without dementia. Arm in arm, step by step and pound by pound, we will get there. Once you donate, Just Giving will send your money directly to the Alzheimer's Society. So it's the most efficient way to raise money – saving time and cutting costs for the charity. Please support us and help us walk for a world without dementia.
