Memory Walk 2018
Campaign by Alzheimer's Society (RCN 296645)
This year over 110,000 people walk united, against dementia. We aim, with your help to raise over £9 million to help anyone affected by dementia.

Story

The staff at Buckland Court are doing the Memory Walk 2018 for Alzheimer's Society.

Due to staff rotas we will be splitting the walk between 2 dates - 15th & 22nd September.

Our route will be from Buckland Court to The Black Horse, Great Durnford (2.8miles) and back. Though there will be lifts back provided if needed.

We care for many residents with Alzheimer's and dementia every day. We become their family and they become ours. We want to raise money and do our bit for the Alzheimer's Society.

We invite any friends and families of our residents  and staff and any old members of staff to take part.

Around 225,000 people develop dementia every year – that's the equivalent to one person every three minutes. This September and October Memory Walks will be taking place across England, Wales and Northern Ireland to raise money for a world without dementia. Arm in arm, step by step and pound by pound, we will get there. Once you donate, Just Giving will send your money directly to the Alzheimer's Society. So it's the most efficient way to raise money – saving time and cutting costs for the charity. Please dig deep and help us walk for a world without dementia.
