On August 24th 2016 Our Beautiful Becky was diagnosed with Fronto Temporal Lobe Dementia at 31 years old. There is currently no cure or treatment for any dementia or even treatment to stop or slow its progression. We need to change this as soon as possible and can only do this through research and raising money to support this research. Whilst unfortunately this will not help Becky, we know she would want us to try and halt this vile disease in it's tracks for the benefit of the future generations in our family and other families who have been affected by dementia.
We are holding a Memory Walk at our home on Sunday 17th September at 11am. We would love for any family and friends to join us, if you can't join us please donate any money you can.
Bring your children, dogs and friends to help raise as much money as possible. We will have a buggy friendly stroll and a longer walk for those hardened hikers. We would love to see you all and we know becky will too.
Around 225,000 people develop dementia every year – that's the equivalent to one person every three minutes. This September and October Memory Walks will be taking place across England, Wales and Northern Ireland to raise money for a world without dementia. Arm in arm, step by step and pound by pound, we will get there. Once you donate, Just Giving will send your money directly to the Alzheimer's Society. So it's the most efficient way to raise money – saving time and cutting costs for the charity. Please dig deep and help us walk for a world without dementia.
