Story
Myself, Chris, my sister Hannah and my brother John and the boys have decided to complete the memory walk in memory of my lovely dad Fred. Many of you will know what a cruel disease this is. My dad was left confused, distressed and frightened. Dementia stole his life and held him prisoner until the end. If research can stop this happening to others then we should all try and support this charity. Money will help provide not only research but essential services and support for people with dementia and for their families too. Even if you can only donate £1, I would be truly grateful. I would love to reach this target in memory of my dad and the boys want to make Grandad proud. Thanks in advance for your help, x x x x
Around 225,000 people develop dementia every year – that's the equivalent to one person every three minutes. This September and October Memory Walks will be taking place across England, Wales and Northern Ireland to raise money for a world without dementia. Arm in arm, step by step and pound by pound, we will get there. Once you donate, Just Giving will send your money directly to the Alzheimer's Society. So it's the most efficient way to raise money – saving time and cutting costs for the charity. Please dig deep and help us walk for a world without dementia.
