Story
The county shelters in our community are in crisis mode. There are just too many dogs and cats being turned over by owners struggling financially, unwanted puppies and kittens being born in homes and in the wild, and the stray and abandoned animals left to fend for themselves in cold and unfamiliar surroundings. Our personal volunteer experiences bring these situations into far too real clarity as we pull and transport scared, frightened, and confused animals from our community shelters.
It is with profound gratitude for all of those who donate their time and funds to Second Chance that we are asking for your support for our team in this year’s Racing for Rescues on May 7th. We see (and feel) the real lifesaving impact! For the ten min-pins we saved from terrible living conditions to Otter and Bevy (two adorable, frightened little puppies) to Kris (a very handsome boy decompensating in the shelter environment) who find themselves, through no fault of their own, in desperate situations for whom we were able to offer them a second chance to find love and happiness. With you support we can help even more!
Please consider supporting our team as we work to help even more who need our help!
Thank you!
