Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

If you haven't been here before, welcome and thanks for your interest.

Update on the progress to date

Ben Nevis completed and my two grandsons kicked it's backside! The old man slowed everybody down a bit but we did it.

The St Helens 10K, was completed in a time of 1 hour 14 minutes and 15 seconds! Thank you to everyone who has donated.

The Bike Ride to Southport and back turned out to be a round journey of 67 miles, not the 45 miles we thought. A hard day's cycling but well worth it. Congratulations to all who took part and thanks to all who donated.

This is about the sacrifices a great man made for others, as what can only be described as the worst time in anyone's life. So for me, and I'm sure the other participants, what we are doing pales into insignificance.

I'm not sure what to say to convince people to part with their hard earned money. On a personal note, I will be 60 when we undertake the challenge. I am under no illusions that this is going to be incredibly hard. Having had heart surgery 7 years ago and a partial knee replacement 4 years ago if I don't do this kind of event now I never will. After this it will be pipe and slippers, so this is definitely a one-off!

So please, if you can support me I would be incredibly grateful and any donation, however small, will help towards me reaching my target and give much needed funds to a fantastic charity.

About the charity

The Steve Prescott Foundation was set up by a totally inspirational man Steve Prescott MBE. In 2006 he was diagnosed with Pseudomyxoma Peritonei a terminal cancer & sought out to raise funds for The Christie Hospital and the Rugby League Benevolent Fund. The SPF changes the lives of so many people.
