Story

Help me raise money to support TMA and their team of local conservation heroes working to protect the coastal rainforests of Ecuador. If and when I reach my campaign goal, I commit to wearing a horseshoe mustache for one solid week, and will proudly share self-effacing pictures and videos to prove it.

Since 2007, TMA has been working with local residents from the community of Camarones to protect and restore the forests of the Jama-Coaque Reserve. These local residents are the most important conservationists and advocates the Reserve has, and they truly represent the front lines of the global conservation movement.Unfortunately, these same individuals, their families, and communities are also the most vulnerable during times of crisis, such as the current COVID-19 pandemic. Access to education, quality and nutritious food, medical care, and secure job opportunities are all restricted in Camarones, and this worrying trend will likely worsen over the coming months and years as the pandemic spreads.By helping me meet my fundraising goal today, we can together make a positive and long-lasting impact on the lives of TMA's local conservation heroes!
