Story
The Music on my Mind tour is an initiative designed to raise money and awareness in aid of mental health problems in the UK
As first-hand witnesses to the unfolding mental health crisis affecting their generation, the band; ‘Kiran and the Revival’ are aiming to highlight and combat the issue with a charity Busking Tour across Southern England.
The Tour will span 11 locations in Southern England and include 16 performances, one for every million people affected by poor mental health in the UK. It will take place from the 26th to the 30th of April, commencing in Guildford.
The initiative will fundraise for the Islington based charity ‘Key Changes’. Key Changes works in partnership with the NHS and secondary mental health organisations to provide music engagement and recovery services in order to improve the well being of those in the psychiatric hospitals and community.
The issue of mental health problems in young people has been conveniently pushed aside and ignored for decades and needs to be brought to the attention of the public as a serious and ever-growing problem a way it has never has been before.
We hope to bring awareness to this situation from a unique first-person perspective in an effort to finally get people to do something about this silent epidemic.
