Story

Can't believe I'm actually going to run the London Marathon!! I'm bricking it!!

Here's a wee bit why:

Bart's & the London Charity (b+tlc) is not just a charity that support's a hospital local to us, they support a hospital local to us that in turn supported and treated very dear friend of mine when she was diagnosed with particularly rare type of cancer known as Nasoparyngeal carcinoma (NPC).

When I heard the brilliant news last year that my friend had beaten the illness into remission, I really wanted to give something back to the team at Barts and the London, as some small gesture of appreciation of the amazing work they do there. With my new found 'enthusiasm' for running the London Marathon seemed like the perfect opportunity to make a decent contribution.

The JustGiving website is basically a modern online version of the tatty bit of a sponsor form you used to get handed round. It's quick and easy to make a donation. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

It would mean a huge amount if you can help me raise the ambitious target of £3000!

I can't thank you enough for anything you can support!! Keep your eyes peeled for me on the telly during the race!

Please, DIG DEEP!

M/.xx
