Touched By An Angel is a charity set us by friends of ours, Lisa and Neil, in memory of their son Joseph Mitchell. The charity aims to help and support bereaving families who have lost a child at Alder Hey Childrens Hospital.

Joseph was born with a heart condition called Alagille Syndrome which affects the liver, heart and kidneys and unfortunately passed away at the tender age of two and a half. Lisa, Neil and big sister Molly were supported amazingly well by the bereavement team and wanted to give something back as way of saying thanks. 

Money raised by Touched By An Angel will provide books that parents can read to siblings trying to explain death. It will provide photo albums, Moses baskets, baby grows and pajamas, anything to make time in the centre as comfortable as possible. 

Around 100 families a year will require the services of the centre and money raised will also go towards weekend family breaks, parties for siblings as well as alternative therapy treatments to help with the stress and anxieties they are facing. This is a small charity who are making a massive difference to those unfortunate enough to need it.

Thank you for supporting my marathon run. As part of my training I have also ran the Liverpool Half Marathon on March 29th which was a great experience and have me a taste of what to expect in June. Every donation helps no matter how small!
