Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Murphy attempts the English Channel Solo!
so in 6 months time I will be attempting the biggest, most scary, most heart raising swim I have ever done!!
I wasn’t going to make this public but I have been struggling with motivation and unsure if I’m just completely petrified or just lost the love for what I do…. Swimming!
You may have guessed by now or I may have told you myself (can’t keep my own secret)!
I will be attempting to swim 21 miles in a ENGLISH CHANNEL SOLO swim in September!!!
I will be doing this for charity, a charity very very close to mine and a lot of my friends and family’s hearts..
i will be raising money for Ashgate hospice care in Derbyshire! Ashgate didn’t just supported my grandma Janet with her end of life care but they supposed a close friend of ours Stephanie Boyman! Before Steph passed away I told her the secret that I’ll be swimming the channel for her and her response while very poorly and drowsy was “your not!!” Steph was able to be supported at home as her wish with her husband Matt until the end and this was made possible by Ashgate! The nurses attending daily and being available on the phone for every need!
I will be updating you monthly what I have done and my plans for the following month! I have a lot already booked in for swim training this year but it all starts in the pool with improving my stroke and speed! The open water work will be my endurance!
In advance I thank you all for your support!
