Sarah's Murph for Mikeysline

Murph for Mikeysline · 4 June 2020
On Thursday 4th June, I will turn 30. At the start of the year I wanted to set a fitness based challenge as a way to raise money. Due to the current lockdown restrictions I have had to adapt my original plans and settled on the following...
I will be completing 1 Murph (1 mile run, 100 pull ups, 200 press ups, 300 squats, 1 mile run - all in a weight vest) every 3 hours to link in with the current statistics that 1 in every 3 people in Scotland have a mental health condition. I will do this over the course of 12 hours - 5 Murphs in total.
Here is some information on the charity I have chosen:
At Mikeysline, our ultimate aim is suicide prevention. We were established in 2015 following the suicides of two close friends within days of each other, Mikey Williamson and Martin Shaw, both aged 23. Our textline service was set up to provide an anonymous, safe, confidential way to access peer support, a listening ear from someone who understands what that person may be feeling, having their ow live experience of mental health issues. We also operate a drop in centre, The Hive, on Academy Street in Inverness.
Charities pay a small fee for our service. Learn more about fees
