It will be 10 years this year since our darling daughter Diane died suddenly at our home in the town of Stornoway on the island of Lewis
in the Outer Hebrides. Diane was 25.

Diane died on the 26^th of August 2012 and our family miss her every day. Some of her best friends helped set up a British Heart Foundation branch covering Lewis and Harris and are heavily involved with
a small band of volunteers in raising funds to support the work of the BHF in our local area.

The BHF Lewis and Harris branch formed in 2020 and since then have organised some fantastic fundraising activities working closely with
some of our local businesses who have been very supportive. The group has to date raised £15,337.08p and were shortlisted in the Heart Hero Awards 2021.

While our family and friends regularly support the efforts of the BHF team at a local and national level I want to do a wee bit more and
in memory of Diane I have decided to walk the 96 miles of the West Highland Way starting in Milngavie near Glasgow on Monday 11 April and finishing in Fort William in the Highlands on Friday 15 April.

This will involve walking some 20 miles per day and is going to be a huge challenge for me. My wife and daughter will be providing support
and I hope that they will be able to join me at some points on the walk. Anyone else who wishes to join me can contact me on murdo22mor@hotmail.com. All will be made very welcome.
