I am a nurse working in Jerusalem, taking care of patients who have eye problems. I am also a runner, and started running when I was 15 years old. I got first place in many races, and as I grew up I found that I had to run longer distances to keep improving. However I soon realized there is no place to run. Palestine is occupied by the Israeli Army, and there is a wall preventing us from moving freely. I can't run like other people do on roads or paths because I will face the wall and run out of space. To overcome this I ran in countless circles around my town, dedicated to my sport and improving my times. After years of running circles, one of my dreams is coming true and I will run in the Berlin marathon for the first time in my life.
