Story
On your marks.... Swimathon is back in 2018!
Thanks for taking time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am swimming 2500m (2.5km) on Sunday 29 April 2018 for Swimathon 2018 at my favourite swimming pool the London Aquatics Centre, to raise money for Cancer Research UK, Marie Curie and the Swimathon Foundation.
My support team, training task masters and fellow Swimathon swimmers are my fabulous cousins Albert and Kurt.
I lost both my parents to terminal cancer, and more recently a close friend has been diagnosed with recurrent triple negative breast cancer.
I want to raise money for Cancer Research UK and Marie Curie to help support all the work they do in researching new treatments and therapies, and all the support they provide to those individuals affected by cancer and their loved ones.
If you have a spare pound or two to donate to these worthwhile charities I would be so very grateful, and you will be helping spur me on to finish swimming every metre.
Thank you for reading this and for any donations that you can give.
Love and giant hugs.
Mun-Yee
Cancer Research UK and Marie Curie are teaming up and heading down to the pool for Swimathon 2018 – thousands of swimmers, two great causes, one big charity challenge.
Cancer Research UK, the world’s leading cancer charity dedicated to saving lives through research, will be involved in Swimathon for the first time.
Marie Curie, the UK’s leading charity for people with any terminal illness and their families, has been Swimathon's charity partner ten times since it launched in 1986 and has raised over £17 million for the charity through the event during that time.
By taking part in the world’s biggest fundraising swimming event you will be fundraising for two incredible causes.
A challenge for everyone. A #SwimForAll
