Myself, and both my sisters will be joining Muslim hands on their 9th annual Gaza Winter Walk 2017 in London on 4th February to raise money and make a big difference to the lives of expectant mothers and newborn babies in the Gaza strip!

We will be walking 5miles for the children of Gaza. Please help us to raise money, every penny counts, and your generous donations will make an exceptional difference to the people of Gaza.

Why we need your help?

Over half a million Palestinian refugees in Gaza live in the eight recognised Palestinian refugee camps, which have one of the highest population densities in the world. Gaza has one of the highest birth rates in the world. Unfortunately, extreme poverty and the ongoing conflict means that many mothers simply can’t access the care they need. With the lack of healthcare, Gazans are at an increased risk of disease and the number of children and pregnant women who suffer from anaemia and other micronutrient deficiencies continues to rise. With your support, Muslim Hands along with its partner United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) - experts in providing comprehensive maternal and child care for several years with health centres all over Gaza, will provide ante-natal and post-natal care for Palestinian refugee women.

What your money will be go towards-
1.    Clean birthing spaces for expectant mothers

2.    Ultrasound equipment to help monitor pregnancies and identify birth defects

3.    Healthcare for pregnancies at risk, including anaemia, infections, blood abnormalities like thalassemia traits and other medical conditions.

Maternal healthcare will be provided in Nusirat, Jabalia, Beach, Tal Sultan, and Beit Hanoun health centres in the Gaza Strip. The project is expected to benefit at least 132,000 Palestine women and their children.So what are you waiting for?
