My mum, Judy, was known for her great cakes among other things (like being the best mum ever of course).

Macmillan support people like my mum who have been affected by cancer.

As a way of remembering Mum, and raising money for Macmillan, I am running a year-long bake-fest trying out recipes she has collected from the 1960s on.

* I will make at least one cake, slice or batch of biscuits every fortnight.

* A photo of each will be posted on http://mumscakes.webs.com/  with the recipe and any notes. If people want to try making the recipe, I am hoping they will donate!

* I will also bring the cakes into my office. If people want to try eating the recipe, I am hoping they will donate!

Hopefully by the end of the year will have raised some funds for a very worthy charity as well as remembering a wonderful Mum who baked the best cakes in the world.
