Story
Tommi, Sarah and Laura, the members of the Channel View Crawlers are proud to be running the Bristol 10k for St Peter’s Hospice this year. We are also being joined by Helen and Andy, a big thanks to them!
St Peter’s Hospice is Bristol’s only adult hospice caring for local people with life-limiting illnesses. Mike Grover, co-founder of Multilingual Matters and Channel View Publications, was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in December 2012. Despite his illness through the first half of 2013, he enjoyed life to the full, and when the time was right he chose to be cared for at St Peter’s. We are extremely grateful to the doctors, nurses and staff at St Peter’s for the kindness, dignity and love with which they cared for Mike and Mike’s family.
This is the 4th year that the team has run the 10k and we will be remembering Mike as we run. He did a brilliant job of cheering us on around the course in previous years and we are glad to be able to return the support by raising money for St Peter’s Hospice on his behalf.
