Story
Words can not describe how I felt on the 1st June 2015 - the day my mother passed away. Her battle with brain cancer had come to an end. I remember clasping her hand in her final moments, wishing for a few more moments of her beloved company.
Four years later, on 17th November my father also drew his last breath as his struggle with liver cancer came to an end. I remember how he held me lovingly, as I helped dress him. The pain was visible on his face as he struggled to stand but he rarely complained.
My mother and father always taught me to give back to others and help those in need. So I aim to take from their beautiful example, remaining positive, and helping children and their families struggling with cancer by running the Marathon this year for Children with Cancer.
This will be a significant challenge as I have been beset with a string of injuries this year including ligament damage in my foot, a shoulder tear and a serious ankle accident. This wouldn't be possible without your kind help. Please donate to support this cause.
