Story
My 15 year old normally fit and healthy son went into hospital with pneumonia and deteriorated within a week which is when we were transferred to The Royal Manchester Children's hospital. He spent 2 days on PHDU after which he was taken into PICU and was intubated. He didn't respond to any treatment and it soon turned into a life threatening condition of ARDS. At the same time he developed sepsis and all his organs were inflamed. Out of his 8 week journey in hospitals, 5 of them were on intensive care and mostly on the ventilator. RMHC is what helped us to stay connected as a family and also close to our critically ill child. Its been a clinical and emotional roller coaster and I don't know what we would have done without the support. His siblings were able to spend the Easter holidays and weekends at the house as well, which was a blessing ❣️
Please help them to keep more families with their sick children by donating. No matter how big or small, every little helps 💫
