Story
We are the Manchester United Women u11s team. We have sorely missed our squad training and match days during the COVID-19 lockdown.
Our coaches have worked tirelessly to keep us motivated and challenged during these recent times. One of our coaches (and MU RTC Head of Girls Football) Emma Fletcher leads by example and provides us all with such tremendous inspiration. Emma shared with her players that she has been diagnosed with Huntington's disease. Huntington's is a life limiting condition affecting brain function over the course of time.
HDA - Huntington's Disease Association, is a small charity that helps fund research and supports patients and their families providing essential care.
We as a team want to help support the work that HDA do for amazing people like our Emma and raise some awareness and much needed funds.
We have set ourselves a team challenge of completing a virtual round trip covering over 200 miles, the distance between each of our homes. The intention is to run (cycle/walk if injury rehab dictates) a minimum of 15 miles each during the next two weeks (although the competitive nature of our group is likely to smash that distance many times over)
We would of course be hugely grateful for any donations no matter how small. Genuinely, every single penny matters, together we can make a huge difference ❤️❤️
