Story
On the 7th September 2019 I will be running the North West Tough Mudder as part of the Beyond Bea Charity team in memory of my son Henry who died suddenly and unexpectedly aged two hours old.
For those not familiar with Tough Mudder it is an 8-10 mile obstacle course complete with 25 different obstacles and waist high mud.
For those not familiar with me, I am a nine stone nothing software engineer and spend most of my time sat behind a desk. This really will be tough!
Beyond Bea was set up by Steph Wild, midwife and fellow bereaved parent to Bea, to provide high quality bereavement care training and memory making workshops to healthcare professionals working with bereaved parents. Good bereavement care was essential to mine and my wife's wellbeing in the aftermath of our son's death, anything you can donate will go towards ensuring other parents receive high quality care during the most difficult time of their lives.
I'll be sure to keep you updated with my training efforts over the next few months!
Martin, Henrys's dad.
