Story
Hey guys!
Over the past few years I have undertaken a series of challenges with my bike and have been blessed with your very generous support to raise vital funds to support the excellent work of Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP). Together, we have delivered mobile health clinics across Gaza and the West Bank which are now operational and serving the local communities. Thank you for making a difference to the people who need your help the most.
Sadly, an ongoing injury means I cannot take the bike out this year! I had signed up to a a 5 day trek across the West Bank covering 90km. The current uncertainty with travel may push this event to next year. Whenever it happens, I hope to take part. BUT the local Palestinian communities need our support NOW...
The threat from Covid-19 is dangerously increased for Palestinians because of their living conditions, especially in the refugee camps where there is over crowding, few hygiene facilities and incredibly limited opportunities to effectively self-isolate. Health services in the area are already over stretched and the situation will only get worse. Your donations will help MAP to supply essential supplies including anti-septics, disinfectants and hygiene kits for people most at risk. Your donations will also help MAP to provide PPE for healthcare workers so they can continue to work and bring relief to this infected by the virus. You can hear directly from the CEO of MAP, Aimmee, and learn more about MAP's work here and how your donations will help here:

2. Helping midwives to deliver essential care
Your donations will help MAP to support community midwives in Lebanon who are continuing to provide vital care to expectant and new Palestinian mothers and their new-born babies amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Your donations will help MAP’s team of midwives to conduct individual health education sessions in the Palestinian refugee the camps. MAP is supporting them to take important precautionary measures to safeguard their own health ahead of visits.
You can hear more directly from three midwives, Saraya, Mariam and Zeina, about the importance of their continued work and the current conditions and atmosphere in the Palestinian refugee camps at the following link:

3. Supporting other projects most in need
Your donations will support neonatal services, malnutrition programmes, breast cancer clinics, neurosurgery procedures and burns treatment.
