MSF's emergency teams are experts at fighting disease outbreaks. Join us in raising funds to support the medical teams on the ground as they respond to the coronavirus crisis.
Yemeni hospitals are struggling to meet the existing needs of people and the spread of COVID-19 would place enormous strain on an already broken system exacerbating the already dire humanitarian situation in Yemen.
1,019,679 patients have been treated in MSF's medical rooms since the conflict started in 2015.
After the first case of COVID-19 was confirmed in Yemen, MSF called for the authorities there to urgently allow the entrance of supplies and humanitarian staff into the country to prepare a response to the disease.
2,200+MSF staff are currently in Yemen gearing up to confront potential outbreaks in the hundreds of areas they were already working before the pandemic struck.
MSF are deploying medics, sending supplies and applying nearly 50 years of experience fighting epidemics to protect the most vulnerable and save lives. How you can help:- £16 can pay for a surgical tunic, trousers and a pair of sterile reusable gloves.- £28 can pay for protective plastic goggles for four doctors.- £58 can pay for sterile gloves for 30 medics.- £110 can pay for five protective suits to keep staff safe.
