Like almost all events, the Hackney Half Marathon that I was due to run in was meant to take place this Sunday (17th May) but has since been cancelled due to the outbreak of Covid-19.

I'm still using the date however to do my own custon half marathon through the streets of Hackney. In particular I wanted to complete this run as a way of creating a fundraising opportunity in this crucial time to help support people during this difficult lockdown period.

Hackney has experienced some of the worst impact in the Country due to Covid-19, both in terms of infections and the financial impact to the community. This is why it's vital for organisations like the North London Action group get as such help as possible during this time to help the most vulnerable in the community.
