Story
Thirteen years ago my husband was diagnosed with SLE, which some people know as Lupus, a condition where the body's immune system breaks down.
It means that we have to take each day as it comes - some days are good, he can get up and go out, some days (increasingly) are bad - he is confined to our home as his body simply says "no, not today."
We've shown our support for Lupus UK in various ways over the years, but I decided the time had come to do more and so signed up for the St. Albans Walking Half Marathon - if you know me and my lack of a fitness regime, then you'll know this will be a big enough challenge and hopefully, achievement for me.
