Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page !
I'VE DONE IT !!!! I've actually run the Flora London Marathon. It was an AMAZING experience. Exhausting, but wonderful.
So.....PLEASE SPONSOR ME...there's still time, and I am so grateful for every single penny-big or small.
The reason I did it was that I recently completed the Birmingham half marathon (my first ever race) and was supported by my father-in-law, Gord, who is a Prostate cancer sufferer. Gord's cheers carried me through the end of the race, and I wanted to do something to thank him for his support. The great news is that following radiotherapy treatment and continuing hormone injections, Gord is now officially in remission and back to full on Grandparent duty !
By sponsoring me you will enable The Prostate Cancer Charity to continue with their fantastic research work into this disease, but most importantly raise awareness of how treatable this disease can be if it is caught in the early stages. If every man was screened for Prostate cancer in the same way that women are for Breast Cancer then the statistics would be much improved.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Prostate Cancer Charity gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
