Fun in February with afternoon tea in mind, 27 January 2021
The KFF's Fun in February appeal asks supporters to take on a challenge in February 2021 - sporty, foody, wild, simple, whatever! - and raise £100+ for the KFF's charities. This support is vital for our struggling projects after such a tough 2020.

Story

This page is raising money for the Kate Farrer Foundation's (KFF's) Fun in February appeal. Katy, my goddaughter is a trustee for this family charity, which raises money for small, grassroot health/social welfare causes around the world that help families, women and children most in need (go to https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/funinfebruarykff?success=true for all the details and www.katefarrer.org for details on the charity).

The charities
are hugely struggling for money and resources as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, so the KFF's supporters have pledged to raise at least £100 each throughout February 2021 by committing to a fun challenge.

My Challenge is to make as many afternoon teas as possible to deliver in the Cambridge area throughout February. Your afternoon tea will comprise 3 x different types of sandwiches with vegetarian fillings, scones with jam and cream, mini quiche and 2 types of cakes. All home made.

My famous scones, ,cheese and plain with home made jam delivery is offered to those outside Cambridge.

I ask for your encouragement by requesting me to deliver an afternoon tea to you and also that you donate via this page to the Kate Farrer Foundation.

To continue the medical and philanthropic work of Dr Kate Farrer, who passed away in 2014, her family set up the Kate Farrer Foundation to support the types of charities she supported. We work with small charities around the world, from our base in Cambridge (UK) to global partners, with particular interest in social and medical welfare including paediatric and neonatal care (Kate's specialism). The Trustees ensure that all donations are used to support tangible projects and that donors are regularly updated on grant allocation.
