"Pain is a big fat creature riding on your back. The farther you pedal, the heavier he feels. The harder you push, the tighter he squeezes your chest. The steeper the climb, the deeper he digs his jagged, sharp claws into your muscles."
I've always had a love hate relationship with my bike. Some days the miles fly by, other days you can encounter stiff headwinds that blow the fun right out of the ride.
In 2007 a friend & I decided to to undertake a cycle ride that would begin in Vancouver Canada and take us South along some of the world's most scenic coastline to the palm lined beaches at the Mexican border. The route which is known as the Pacific Coast Bicycle Route is 1987.3 miles long and takes us through British Columbia, Washington, Oregon and California. Our aim is to complete 50-60 miles of cycling per day and reach the Mexican border in about 7 weeks of starting the ride.
Please take pity on our aching muscles, saddle sore buttocks, and stiff joints and donate generously....its a great cause!
We will be donating to Cancer Research.
