We pioneer life-saving cancer research to help us beat cancer

Story

On a Saturday morning in early December, for the last 39 years, London’s iconic Covent Garden has been filled with an air of anticipation as runners wearing brightly coloured fancy dress costumes line up, and get ready to race around a unique fun filled festive obstacle course and raise vital funds for Cancer Research UK, all whilst balancing a Christmas Pudding on a tray – not such an easy task we can assure you!

2021 would have been The Great Christmas Pudding Race’s 40th event. Over the last four decades, with the help of our amazing teams, sponsors and supporters, our volunteer committee has raised an incredible £1.6 million for Cancer Research UK.

Due to COVID-19, our committee has made the difficult decision to postpone our milestone race again until December 2022.

Cancer Research UK, like many charities, have seen a huge drop in their fundraising income during this global pandemic. This is in part due to the cancellation of events such as The Great Christmas Pudding Race. If you would like to make a donation this year to support Cancer Research UK's life saving research, we would really appreciate it.
